Hyundai Janík Motorsport drivers will again fight for European prizes

The TCR Eastern Europe 2023 season belonged to the Hyundai Janík Motorsport team. Mato Homola was the overall winner and Adam Kout took the bronze place. Thanks to our drivers, we also became the best team of the season. As in the previous season, the drivers will be driving Hyundai Elantra N cars.

The team line-up in the upcoming season will be very similar to the previous one. Mato Homola is already a regular member of the Janík Motorsport team and this will be his fourth year. Last season in TCR Eastern Europe he achieved great results and became the champion. "As the 2023 champion, I can't have lower goals than winning in the 2024 season. But we know that the competition doesn't rest and we have to keep working hard because it won't be easy. I believe that together with the Hyundai Janik Motorsport team we have everything to make this season very successful again."

Adam Kout, for whom last season was his debut in the TCR Eastern Europe series, will be driving his second season in the Hyundai Elantra N. Adam has used his experience from the formula and karting series and has enjoyed a successful year in 2023. He took home the win at his home race in Most and finished third in the final standings. "I am confident that this year will see even more competition and an expansion of the TCR Eastern Europe Championship field, and that we will enjoy a season of exciting racing and duels on the race circuits. And of course my goal for this year is to improve on last year's third place in the overall driver standings and defend my position as the best team."

Jiří Zbožínek will be a newcomer to the team. The 20-year-old driver was a member of the Clio Cup circuit series last season. "I'm really looking forward to my first season in the TCR Eastern Europe series, I expect strong competition. I also expect to do well in the top team Janík Motorsport."

Václav Janík, team owner and driver, expressed his words of support. "This will be our third year in TCR Eastern Europe and it will be very difficult to defend our 2023 title, as everything went well last year. The competition is tough and big, but we will do our best. We are glad that Maťo and Adam stayed with us and of course the newcomer Jirka will drive as a junior. He will mainly learn with the Hyundai Elantra N and gain experience."

The TCR Eastern Europe series will kick off this year at the end of April at the new Balaton Park circuit in Hungary. Drivers will have the chance to score points over the six race weekends and Hyundai Janík Motorsport's aim is undoubtedly to defend the championship among the teams.
